March For Your Future
As a generation that grew up through drastic ecological changes, we are faced with so much uncertainty of our future. While this should push anyone to understand that caring for the planet has become a moral issue and that change and actions are needed, I sometimes catch myself turning a blind eye to all of it or find myself paralyzed when thinking of all the change that has to be done…
Marching on that rainy October day brought back some courage in me.
The raw unity of impassioned humans, all strangers to each other yet all fighting together to make their voices heard.
Families marched alongside roaring students who stood next to silent grandparents holding their cardboard signs as high as they could. Each contribution mattered.
That is what this day reminded me: that each contribution, no matter how small, matters.
